    Details
This is an intermediate level course. The student is tutored to take the PET exam at the end of the course. It is a very practical course, which enables the student to cope with a wide range of everyday situations. PET is at level B1 in the Common European Language Framework (B1 is a ‘threshold’ – level course).

Studying for PET is a popular way to augment language skills. PET covers all the main language skill areas.

The PET exam consists of three papers:

Part 1: Reading and writing (90 minutes)
Assesses the ability to read and understand texts taken from a variety of sources including signs, newspapers, magazines and brochures.
Part 2: Listening (about 30 minutes)
Assesses your ability to understand recorded materials such as public announcements and dialogues.
    Part 3: Speaking (10-12 minutes)
This paper tests your ability to interact with an examiner and another candidate. You are required to ask and answer questions about yourself and others and talk freely about what you like and what you don’t like.
